Highlights from GA June 2022
I was pleased to virtually attend GA 2022 (held in Portland) as a delegate from UUFSD. One highlight was to learn about and vote on the three Actions of Immediate Witness that were overwhelmingly adopted. These are statements about significant actions in the world that need immediate engagement from UU member congregations and groups. The AIWs selected were 1) We Do Not Consent: Rejecting Legal Challenges to Abortion 2) Anti-racism and Reparations via Restorative Justice, and 3) Stopping the Privatization of Medicare.
