Please join us on Zoom for a postcard/letter writing meetup to express thanks to those elected officials who have taken actions consistent with our UU values. Example: One of the elected officials we will be writing to is Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island to tell him why we are grateful to him for introducing the Equality Act every year for the past 6 years. The Equality Act would provide consistent and explicit anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including employment, housing, credit, education and federally funded programs. Please have postcards or paper/envelopes by your computer. This is a short action – 30 minutes or less. Sponsored by the 5th Principle Project.
