UUFSD will provide dinners at Fill A Belly on Thursdays, September 28 – October 26 – November 16 – December 21.
Fill a Belly, is a Social Justice organization that coordinates weekly dinners for our homeless brothers and sisters. The new site for the dinners is at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas. Our fellowship was honored to serve the first dinner at the new location on Thursday, August 24, and we assisted again on Thursday, August 31.
We are also proud of the fact that we were instrumental in a very productive outreach effort, through the Encinitas Community Resource Center and the Jewish family Services, Safe Parking Facility in Encinitas. Through our outreach efforts, we were able to have some of the largest attendances since the program began in Encinitas.
Sign up sheets for our Thursday, September 28 dinner will be available at the Social Justice table in the Core Area after services for the next four weeks. We anticipate serving at least 50 participants.
