RE Classes – Now offering more!
Beginning May 4th
With many visiting families and our growing programs (yay!), we will begin offering a new breakdown of ages and classes beginning the first week of May. Our new classes will be as follows:
Class #1: Future Friends (approx. Toddler-PK)
This class is team taught by Liora Kian-Gutierrez and Sheryl Goto and focuses on the UU Chalice Children’s curriculum.
Class #2: Kindness Crew (approx. Kinder-3rd)
This is our newest class to be taught by RE volunteers and will focus on the Soul Matters Lower Level Elementary curriculum.
Class #3: Meaning Makers (approx. 3rd-6th grade)
This class, currently taught by our DREF Heather Megill, will spend the month of May focusing on our worship service elements and will also participate in leading the worship service on May 18th. Beginning in September this class will be taught by our new RE Support Teacher and focus on the Soul Matters Upper Level Elementary Curriculum. (New RE Support Teacher position available…

Class #4: Community Crusaders (approx. 7th grade and older)
This class will begin in September and will focus on using social media, storytelling, and video production to foster connection and community within and outside of our congregation. The class will be taught by our DREF Heather Megill.
These classes will run for 7 weeks (May 4 – June 15) before our summer programming begins then carry on in September. (Note: There needs to be at least 2 children attending in a certain age group for the class to run that Sunday. If only one child attends in a certain age group, they may join whichever other class seems appropriate for that week. We are so excited to see this growth in our program!
