Ukrainian family assistance on Nov. 5

San Diego has embraced more than 5,000 Ukranian refugees since 2022. One organization that has been active with more than 500 families is the Slavic Refugee and Immigrant Service Organization . Casas de Luz has been providing them furnishings for their apartments for the last 6 months and supporting their progress integrating into San Diego.

Come hear more about this organization and its founder, Krystsina Shchelkunova at the service on Nov. 5. Her organization will be the recipient for Generosity Sunday and she will be doing the sermon.

We are going to be doing an In-kind donation drive to support 200 Ukrainian families with household consumer products. Some examples are: Toilet Paper, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, lotion, cleaning supplies, etc. We all know how expensive these items can be. Let’s show these families how generous UUFSD can be. It would be great on Nov. 5 to have the table in the core area overflowing with these items.d by
