The UUFSD Social Justice Action Gun Violence Prevention Group is encouraging everyone to sign the Brady United Against Gun Violence petition to ban Bump Stocks.

A bump stock is a device that converts a semi-automatic into a machine gun. There is no legitimate reason that a civilian needs access to a machine gun, and yet the Supreme Court has just struck down the ATF’s rule which prohibited the production, sale and possession of bump stocks. The decision destroys Congressional regulation of machine guns, in place since the 1930’s.
