The Carlsbad Equality Coalition is the recipient of our February Generosity Sunday offering. The Carlsbad Equality Coalition is a newer grassroots non-profit dedicated to amplifying voices for collective engagement in systemic change. It aims to improve socioeconomic and political equity focusing on community advocacy, justice in policing and equity in education. A current project needing financial support is a speech competition where middle and high school students give speeches answering “What does equity and justice mean to you?” They will award scholarship money to the top 3 winners in their divisions. This is to empower youth getting their voices to be heard and to further community engagement to create change. Your donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Give in the usual way to the Sunday offering — all contributions on this day will go to the Coalition.
