The rise, fall, and rebirth of Jiddu Krishnamurti. Krishnamurti was discovered by the Theosophical Society at the age of 14 as an incarnation of the World Teacher. They formed the Order of the Star in the East to promote his teachings, and he led that effort for 20 years. In 1929, he became disillusioned with the Order and rejected all organizations – he set on a mission to “set man free”, starting with himself.

Krishnamurti wrote and lectured for the next 50+ years, writing many books including “The First and Last Freedom”, “Think on These Things”, “The Beauty of Life”, “On Love and Loneliness”. His philosophy was — well, what was it? Some combination of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Transcendentalism? Along with a healthy dose of Individualism and Nature? Come to the meeting and decide for yourself! Hosted by Glen Bowden.

Saturday October 19 from 11 am to 12:30 in Founders Hall and on Zoom. Email Rich at [email protected] to get on the mailing list.
