Mardi Gras is also known as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day. The name Mardi Gras is French for β€œFat Tuesday.” It comes from the fact that the festival takes place on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. It also refers to the old custom of consuming all the fats in the home before Lent. Lent is a time of abstaining from meat and fats during the week til Easter. So it is a huge party to consume all the foods in the house.

I do not give up anything for Lent, I give out lots of Hugs.
There will be music, masks, beads, and GREAT FOOD in an atmosphere provided by COLORFUL LIGHTS and decorations. There will beads to take home and lots of good music to dance or listen to.
We will be serving all you can eat Pancakes, Jambalaya. Shrimp Creole, Hurricanes, and Beignets.
Beignets are a smaller version of a donut. The inside of the beignets are a little more puffy with a soft middle. These beignets are SO delicious.

All ages COME FOR FUN AND FELLOWSHIP AND OF COURSE GREAT FOOD
