Climate Conversations

Our April 27 Earth Day service and celebration features a brilliant scientist and guest speaker, Dr. Kaitlyn Lowder. Dr. Kaitlyn Lowder is the Program Manager for The Ocean Foundation. As a marine biologist, she has researched the effects of ocean acidification and ocean warming on economically-important crustaceans.

Dr. Lowder will educate us on the ocean’s role in climate, local actions we can take to increase ocean climate literacy through Stay Cool’s middle school program and how the ocean factors into carbon removal approaches to help meet climate goals.
