Welcome to Climate Conversations. Get information on what you can do to help mitigate climate change.
It’s so easy to find bad news, especially about climate change. The problem with focusing on the bad news is that it leads you to despair. Despair leads nowhere and shuts down your motivation to help lower the temperature of our planet. The antidote is at your fingertips and it’s called The Weekly Anthropocene.
The Weekly Anthropocene newsletter is a roundup of environmental progress from around the globe. You can learn more and subscribe here https://sammatey.substack.com/
The author is Sam Matey, an early career environmental scientist, climate journalist, and geospatial data analyst. Sam says he founded the newsletter in 2017 because “I believe the world needs a succinct, accessible rundown of environmental news.”
FYI: Anthropocene is Greek for “Age of Humans.” Nobel prize-winning atmospheric chemist Paul Crutzen said we should categorize the age we’re living in as a new geologic epoch, recognizing that the primary force now shaping the planet is humanity.
