On Monday, June 10th, we will be discussing the classic 1884 novel
Ramona by Helen Hunt Jackson.
Of course it’s a tragic romance. But it’s also been called The Heart and Conscience of Early California, or the Uncle Tom’s Cabin for the American Southwest, or the first protest novel of California.
Come and tell us what YOU think about it!
We meet in the West side of Founders Hall at 6:30pm on the 2nd Monday of each month.
