A momentous week:
Liaison Linda Luisi contacted Mountain Meadow Mushrooms for spent mushroom compost. Their loading fee was waived, making the job smoother for UU Ron DeMuth, who delivered “shroom compost” to our organic garden. UU Andi MacLeod helped Ron unload. Felicia and her volunteers mixed it into the soil for a richer profile. We welcome organic fertilizers and homemade compost–best way to rid your food waste. For planting when the weather warms up, several UU s are starting seedlings at home (highly productive varieties w/ easy maintenance, nematode/disease-resistant!).
