June Generosity Sunday

Our June Generosity Sunday recipient is San Diego Veterans for Peace and we are accepting donations through the end of June.

The primary purposes of San Diego Veterans for Peace are:
1. to work toward increasing public awareness of the costs of war, (including the fact that many homeless people are veterans,)
2. to restrain our government from intervening, overtly and covertly, in the internal affairs of other nations,
3. to end the global arms race and eventually eliminate nuclear weapons, and
4. to abolish war as an instrument of international policy.
Since December 2010, San Diego Veterans for Peace has distributed over 4,400 sleeping bags in waterproof sacks to homeless veterans. They send many out teams of three volunteers each, late at night, to hand out sleeping bags, used clothing, water and food.
