A Parent Support Group is offered to parents of children in the UUFSD RE program – all ages. Leaders are Glenn and Barbara Bortnick, who raised their children at UUFSD. Glenn is a clinical and school psychologist, currently working with middle school students in the Vista Unified School District. Barbara has a social work background and is working at an elementary school in the Encinitas School District as a special education instructional aide. The challenges of
parenting often leave us feeling confused and alone. By finding other parents who are facing, or have faced, similar issues, many parents feel better able to navigate these challenges through a place for support, resources, a place to
vent, and a place to share frustrations and successes. The group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month, 6:00-7:30 PM in the Palmer Library.
