From Our Choir Director

“I have been singing in choirs since third grade, both sacred and secular. I have directed many volunteer choirs and I strongly believe that “All God’s Creatures Got a Place in the Choir”. I have a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance and have been an adjunct faculty at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks as well as a music teacher and conductor at many levels. I possess the enthusiasm and will necessary for teaching novice singers to sing well. I love helping people find their voice and share in a community to make a joyful noise. I directed a choir sponsored by the Fairbanks Alaska UU Fellowship, which sang about peace, the environment, self-awareness and word wide cooperation. I believe it is every person’s birthright to sing. I also believe that it is one of the healthiest activities we can engage in; joining together in song.” Gianna Drogheo
