2nd Monday Book Club reads Heather Cox Richardson Monday, July 14; 6:30-8:15pm; FH West
On Monday, July 14th at 6:30pm, in Founders Hall at UUFSD, the 2nd Monday Book Club will be discussing Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America (2023) by Heather Cox Richardson.
With remarkable clarity and the same accessible voice that brings millions to her newsletter, Letters from an American, Richardson wrangles a chaotic news feed into a story that pivots effortlessly from the Founders to the abolitionists to Nixon to the January 6 insurrection. Richardson reminds us that democracy requires constant vigilance and participation from all of us, showing how we, as a nation, can take the lessons of the past to secure a more just and equitable future.

Auction Planning! Planning Meeting: Saturday, June 28; 11am; Core Area Auction: Saturday, October 11, 2025
Auction planning has begun! This year’s event will be Saturday October 11, 2025. The next planning meeting will be Saturday June 28 at 11 in the core area of the Fellowship. We’d like to put our heads together and create an exciting theme. We want to identify who would like to work on decorations, food, communications, music, soliciting donations, and so forth. Last year many of you played vital roles in making our auction happen. We invite everyone interested in working on this year’s community fundraising event to become part of the planning team.
