The meaning of Thanksgiving has undergone numerous transitions — an expression of gratitude for survival, a council’s recognition of its flourishing community, friendship of the local natives, the defeat over the British, resulting in a collection of our nation’s traditions and values. Over the centuries, families added their customs to the Thanksgiving celebration, preserving that which they held most precious.
The UUFSD Family Tradition is coming together to celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Thursday, November 22, at 1:00 in the Founders’ Hall. Bring your family, your favorite friends, and a dish to share. Everyone is welcomed.
The new Kitchen will be christened with the cooking of Turkeys and dressing for sure. So sign up on the patio at the Turkey table so we know how many plates to set out.
BUT IF YOU FORGOT TO SIGN UP AND FIND YOU CAN COME, DON’T WORRY PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES, GRAB YOUR CAR KEYS AND MEET US THERE. WE ALWAYS HAVE MORE THAN CAN BE EATEN.
WE ARE FAMLIY COMING TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE AND SHARE LOVE.
