MUSIC DIRECTOR

The Music Director serves a vital role as part of UUFSD staff in leading the music program at the Fellowship. They are responsible for creating, facilitating, and supporting a music program that reflects a variety of genres and traditions from around the world, presents music from throughout history, and addresses a broad range of intellectual, spiritual, and emotional expression. The Music Director is also mindful and intentional about congregational participation, interweaving multiple generations and abilities. The preferred candidate has a broad knowledge of choral literature, both secular and sacred; a Bachelor of Arts in music with emphasis in voice, choral or music education; prior choral directing experience; and good communication and diplomacy skills.

The position is a part-time salaried exempt position at 15 hours per week average through the year. Compensation includes salary based on candidate’s qualifications and recommendations from the Unitarian Universalist Association Fair Compensation Guidelines. The start date is September 1, 2022.
