Postcarding for Equality Sunday, April 14

Did you know that in the 30 states without robust LGBTQ anti-discrimination laws, LGBTQ people can legally be fired, harassed at work, barred from businesses, denied housing, and more because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity?

On March 13, 2019, elected officials in the House and Senate introduced the Equality Act to remedy this issue by updating existing laws, like the Civil Rights Act of 1964, to explicitly ban discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. Is your US Representative a co-sponsor of the bill?

Indivisible Patriots invite you to find out at our table this Sunday during the Gathering Hour. If they are, write them a thank you note. If they’re not, write them and ask them to support equality for all.
