WITH GRATITUDE
The Social Justice in Action (SJA) Committee would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Julia Darling and John Post.

Julia was the coordinator of our SJA Racial Justice Program. During her tenure, the fellowship was instrumental in creating the Showing Up For Racial Justice, North San Diego County Chapter, a major accomplishment among others. She is stepping down as coordinator of Racial Justice, to concentrate on the 8th Principle Collaboration Group, a San Diego County UU Cluster (Five UU Congregations) program to advance the proposed UUA 8th Principle.

John successfully guided the SJA Gun Violence Prevention Program for the last eight months. He leaves the coordinator position due to a heavy personal work load. Under John’s coordination, the Fellowship excelled in all the GVP projects we undertook. We co-sponsored the Send Off of Survivors Empowered’s Nation Wide Tour, GVP month, participated in city wide GVP events, had a GVP Generosity Sunday and supported GVP legislation.
