Start 2020 with a Good Book and Fellow UUs
Our book clubs are reading a mixture of novels and non-fiction. The Monday evening group will meet on the 10th of February at 7pm to discuss historian David McCullough’s 1776. Join General George Washington (and British commander William Howe) to relive our country’s first tumultuous year.
On Thursday the 20th of February at 10am, the daytime book club will discuss Richard Powers’ 12th novel, from 2018, The Overstory. The lives of many disparate families is woven into the living world around them. If the trees around us could speak, what would they tell us? And to whom would they talk?
