The Board of Directors has approved 3 new policies. For the full text- please see our Policy & Procedure manual at UUFSD.org- ABOUT tab, under GOVERNANCE

1. SETTLED MINSTER ABSENTEE VOTING– the bylaw change was approved at our January Congregational Meeting. This policy outlines the procedure. Please note- this was written prior to the coronavirus emergency. Plans are in the works for all members to absentee vote this year. We will follow this procedure, except ballots will be mailed to all members. More informations coming.

2. MINISTER DISCRETIONARY FUND– The primary purpose of this fund is to assist members of the congregation and persons in the larger community who are in financial or material need. It is funded primarily by donations. Its use will be monitored by the Minister and Board, but recipient information is confidential.

3. DOCUMENT RETENTION– The purpose of this policy is to specify which UUFSD documents must be kept in perpetuity and which will be destroyed after a specified time, based on federal and state laws and business best practices. Additionally, to define who controls access to UUFSD’s documents and who is responsible for maintaining the archives.
