Ministry of Health in Gaza: According to the UN Human Rights Office, which cites the Ministry of Health in the State of Palestine, at least 1,581 health workers were killed as of July 16, 2025. In September 2024, the ministry reported 1,151 healthcare workers had been killed.
Reported number of hospitals and medical facilities destroyed
Based on reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international bodies, at least 94% of Gaza’s hospitals have been damaged or destroyed in the conflict since October 2023. While the exact number of hospitals completely destroyed is difficult to confirm, dozens of hospitals have been systematically put out of service or left in ruins.
