Monthly Call To Action – June

Broadband access isn’t just an internet issue. It’s a racial justice and systemic equality issue. Millions of people across the US are without broadband access, and are disproportionately Black, Latinx, Indigenous, rural, or low-income. Being without this necessity means being without access to employment, education and vaccine resources. The Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act (S. 745) will expand broadband access to those households struggling to afford broadband. Affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person by calling your US Senators and asking them to support this legislation. Sample call script: “Hi. My name is [NAME] and I am a constituent from [CITY, ZIP CODE]. I am calling to ask Senator [NAME] to support The Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act (S. 745). Thank you.” Senator Alex Padilla (202)224-3553/(619)239-3884; Senator Dianne Feinstein (202)224-3841/(619)231-9712.
