Racial Justice Task Force Discussion on Netflix Series “When They See Us”
August 9 and August 16 at 5:00pm
When They See Us tells the story of the Central Park Five, a group of Black and Latino boys we were wrongfully accused of sexually assaulting a white woman jogger in Central Park in 1989. The series provides a provocative and emotional look into our justice system and the need to address the biases and corruption plaguing police departments and courts. The series is comprised of four episodes and can be found on Netflix.
The first two episodes will be discussed on August 9 at 5:00pm.
