About Survivors Empowered
Created by Sandy and Lonnie Phillips, to honor their daughter Jessie and all those who have died in shootings all over the United States. Whether wounded in a shooting or a parent, grandparent, sibling, relative, or a best friend, survivors face the same hurt that never goes away but when they hear stories from other survivors or tell their own story they heal. Sandy and Lonnie have seen how “survivor’s stories build a better future for all survivors who are physically and psychologically brutalized by unrelenting gun violence.”
