Dream Builders/Capital Campaign Update

Dream Builder activities continue. The Fellowship submitted a routine request last week to the California Coastal Commission asking them to extend their “Intent to issue a Coastal Development Permit” for a project under the Conditional Use Permit as approved back in December 2020. This entitlement from the Coastal Commission expires 2 years from the 2020 date and we must keep it active.

Construction drawings for the Administration Building Addition and Remodel were submitted last week by our contracted architect to the City of Solana Beach for permit review. We should expect this review process to last several weeks along with concurrent bidding to general contractors, with the goal of beginning construction in the new year.

Finally, The Fellowship has awarded a construction contract for the offsite improvements for new curb and gutter along Solana Drive to Ultimate Concrete, the firm that re-constructed our main entry stairs. This offsite work is mandated by the City as part of our Conditional Use Permit and will start on or before December 5. Construction is anticipated to continue for up to 2 weeks.
