Say NO to Offshore Drilling

Last week Trump proposed opening our California coast to offshore drilling. Governor Gavin Newsom called the proposal “dead on arrival.” State Attorney General Rob Bonta plans to sue once the plan is finalized, but it’s important for us to learn how we can protect our coast from offshore drilling.

The Surfrider Foundation here in San Diego County is holding a People’s Hearing on Thursday, Dec. 4, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Encinitas Community Center. Surfrider, coalition partners and local leaders will talk about the plan to open offshore oil leases and how we can participate in the Department of Interior’s comment period.
