Your Chance to Protect Our State’s Immigrant and Refugee Communities

Sign the petition located on the social justice table this Sunday 4/15 to call on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to vote against joining the Trump administration’s lawsuit against the State of California.

Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Kristin Gaspar proposes to have San Diego County join the Trump administration lawsuit targeting the landmark California Values Act (SB 54) and two additional laws which seek to protect the state’s immigrant and refugee communities from mass detention and deportation. The issue is scheduled for a closed door vote on April 17.

Many leaders of the San Diego community are urging Gaspar to remove the issue from the docket. Include your voice in the call to protect the rights of those targeted by our present administration. Stand up for our shared principles of justice, compassion, and the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Karen Riemus from UUFSD will meet with Gaspar on April 16 when Karen will deliver in person the signed petition from our fellowship.
