Peace and Justice Garden Dedication on May 13

dedicate peace and justice garden

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. ~ Margaret Mead

UUFSD has engaged in peace and social justice work for many years locally and globally. The Peace and Justice Garden, created and gifted by Livia Walsh and Irv Himelblau, is a reflection of our beloved community’s strong commitment to this work, past, present, and future.

“May Peace Prevail On Earth” is engraved on the Peace Pole in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Hindi, Navajo, Chinese, Swahili and Arabic. The plants are located at the North, South, East and West compass cardinal directions.

Please join us in the dedication of the Peace and Justice Garden on Sunday, May 13 at 12:20 pm at the location of the garden at the top of the stairway entrance by Founder’s Hall.
