Our Fellowship

VisitorsVisitors are Welcome

Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito. We are
a welcoming community, open to all persons regardless of age, race,
gender, religion, or affectional orientation.

In addition to Sunday services, we offer our adults a broad range of programs. Our Social Justice Ministry provides a wide range of opportunities for members to serve the larger community. The
congregation is involved in community service activities such as helping
with the Interfaith Shelter Network, building houses for Habitat for Humanity, and taking up a weekly food collection as part of the Sunday service. We also enjoy an outstanding choir and a wide variety of special music. Our "Music at Founders' Hall" annual concert series has provided our community with an eclectic mix of music from jazz to classical, and from folk to opera.

Visitors to UUFSD are given a welcome packet at the visitor's table prior to Sunday services. During the services, the minister will ask if any guests would like to introduce themselves. Kids are welcomed to attend the Religious Education classes. After services, guests are also invited to attend the coffee hour. Visitors are asked to use blue mugs so that others in the congregation can easily identify and welcome them.

After visiting, the complementary newsletter "UU Fellowship Focus" will be mailed to a visitor for three months.

We hold “New Member Orientations” quarterly for those who would want a more in depth understanding of the Fellowship and wish to learn more about the membership process.

Membership in UUFSD is open to anyone who is in general agreement with a religious society dedicated to the principles of a free faith. We believe that the authority for your belief is your own conscience and intellect. We only ask that you be willing to undertake your religious quest and contribute personally and financially to further the activities of the church.

Joining the church requires signing the Membership Book in the presence of our interim minister Rev. Jim Grant or someone on the Membership Committee. A committment to the financial support of the Fellowship is made at that time. It is recommended that anyone considering membership attend one of the membership orientation series if possible. Sign-up for these orientations at the welcome table.

Alternatively you may make an appointment with the minister to discuss membership.

Benefits of membership include:

  • Voting at quarterly congregational meetings;
  • Minister services for weddings, memorials and other special occasions;
  • Free subscription to UU World, the magazine of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

We at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito look forward
to new opportunities for service, for intellectual and spiritual growth,
and for the richness that new people with diverse experiences, views and
talents will bring to our community.

If you have any questions, please contact or , chair the membership committee.
