We have all heard, “It takes a village to raise a child,” but you may not know that UUFSD has a village of the willing, including parents, grandparents, and friends.

Please join our group on Facebook by searching for “The Willage at UUFSD.” The Willage is a place to find a babysitter, support other parents, and find support for yourself. Save the dates for our upcoming Willage events:

• August 24, 5:30 pm, Glow Party at UUFSD: a glow-in-the-dark dance party to kick off the new school year
• September 15, Willage Swap in the core area in between the services: bring any clothes & toys & books your kids no longer use, take what you’d like, and we will donate the rest, because we are an interconnected web
• October 12, The Willage is planning to attend Pride-by-the-Beach in Oceanside to offer mom-hugs and dad-hugs to anyone who wants a hug, especially those rejected by their own biological families
