Ordinarily a settled minister search takes two years, but the Fellowship has chosen to attempt it in one. So we all have to get moving!

Your search committee will begin hosting a table on the patio every Sunday to get your insights about what kind of minister we want. We’ll be sending out a survey to also help us understand your wishes – and help us characterize UUFSD to prospective candidates. And we’ll be holding focus group meetings at the Fellowship and at people’s houses, to get a deeper sense of your ideas on what we want in a new Minister. Stop by the Search Committee table on the patio to sign up for one in your area.

And on October 5th from 9:30 until 12:30 UUFSD will be hosting a UUA seminar on “Beyond Categorical Thinking” at Founders’ Hall to help us explore how unconscious bias could prevent us from selecting the minister we need, rather than someone we assume we need. The seminar will be led by Rev. Donna Dolham from Texas, who will also give a sermon on October 6th as part of the program. See you there!
