| Visit the Choir
The
UUFSD Choir invites you to visit rehearsal and "
try us out". We have around 25 members when
everyone is in town and a wide range of musicianship
skills.
Some people are
experienced choral singers. Others read no music
and are new to choir. It is our philosophy that a combination
such as this makes the very best kind of church choir.
It is a challenge to balance repertoire that will challenge
the veteran choral singers with some easily accessible
music to let the singers who are
not skilled yet in reading have a satisfying experience.
Our rehearsals are held every Thursday from 7 to 9
p.m. in the Founders' Hall. We usually sing two Sundays
each month. If you know in advance, please drop an
e-mail to Sally
Dean so that we
can have a music packet ready for you. |

 Choir
The
mission of the UUFSD Choir is to complement and enhance the
Sunday service experience, making it more stimulating and memorable.
Choir
practice is held every Thursday evenings, from 7 to 9 p.m.
in the Founders' Hall.
How
to Join
The choir welcomes experienced singers and novice alike.
If you love to sing and can make a commitment to come for
rehearsals
and be present when the choir sings, the choir would love
to have you join them. Come to any of the Thursday evening
rehearsals ( 7 to 9 p.m.) and talk with the Director, Sally
Husch Dean. The choir has about 25 members, some that
have been members for many years, others are newcomers.
Music
Sunday Concert
We usually present two Sunday concerts a year. The entire
service is dedicated to music and the choir provides choral
numbers. Individuals and small group ensembles are also invited
to perform.
Workshops
Two half day workshop retreats are held every year as preparation
for the Music Sunday Concerts.
