Teach/Assist in RE Classes (Sundays)

Assisting with an RE class on Sunday mornings is a very rewarding experience. The assistant is there to provide the morning snack (healthy, please), another pair of hands, and an escort to the restroom, if needed. The main teacher does all the lesson preparation and leads the class. You are simply there to assist and observe our wonderful teachers and children in action.

Ushers (Sundays)

Volunteers are needed to hand out music books and inserts at the Sunday services. They also are responsible for the collection baskets. Helping just one or two Sundays a year is appreciated.

Visitor Greeting (Sundays)

We need volunteers to greet visitors each Sunday. Volunteers encourage new visitors to fill out a “Visitors Card” and join the congregation during coffee hour after the service. We assist new visitors with children by identifying members of the RE program, and tell them about classroom locations. During Coffee Hour a volunteer is available at the Welcoming Table to answer any questions visitors might have.

Work Parties (First Saturdays)

Building and Grounds organizes a work party, usually the first Saturday of the month, to maintain & improve the appearance and functionality of buildings & the landscape on our six and a half acres. Volunteers do most of the work with an immediate reward of a wonderful lunch prepared by volunteers who prefer cooking to pulling weeds.
