Our Palmer Library and Beloved Conversations

A new set of Anti-racism books complements our fellowship’s Beloved Conversations classes. All books are available for checkout. Contemporary titles include Matt Taibbi’s story of Eric Garner I Can’t Breathe, Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me, and the essay collection The Fire This Time edited by Jesmyn Ward. We have novels, including The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Histories about the effects of Jim Crow laws include Michelle Alexander’s The New Jim Crow as well as several other titles. Killers of the Flower Moon is a true life crime mystery by David Grann, centering on murders of members of the Osage nation.
